Recently, the yellow ‘dick’ painting by Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez was displayed at the ManilArt 2019 Exhibit held in Taguig City.
Netizens were shocked that even a simple dick painting can be considered as art.
Richard’s painting is reportedly worth Php196,000.00 and netizens were quick to show their dismay. A netizen stated that Richard’s painting may be art, it’s a common one, something you’d usually see in graffiti.
One netizen who happens to be an artist made a post on Facebook about the painting and it has now garnered over 29,000 shares, 35,000 reactions, and 11,000 comments.
A Twitter user accused Richard of being fame-hungry and uploaded a photo of artwork from the BenCab Museum.
