It’s Showtime main hosts Vice Ganda and Anne Curtis admitted that they went through fights and rough patches throughout their ten years of friendship in a recent episode of the noontime show.
Vice recounted that he once received a long itemized text message from Anne during one of their fights. Anne then admitted that she couldn’t personally confront Vice because of her tendency to cry easily.
“Pag nag-aaway kasi kami, pag harapan na, umiiyak ako. Hindi ko kaya,” Anne said during a recent press conference for the ongoing 10th anniversary celebration of “It’s Showtime.”
Vice added, “May text siyang mahabang-mahaba sa akin… Atsaka numerical. ‘First, second…’ Naka-itemize! Hindi ko na binasa. Ang haba, Ingles!”
Vice and Anne then said that one of their biggest fights was caused by a cup of watermelon shake. According to Vice, Anne unintentionally knocked the comedian’s watermelon shake off the table staining his newly bought shoes. Vice then said that he became irritated when Anne did not apologize immediately despite his demand.
The confrontation eventually led them to personally attacking each other making Anne shed tears. The show’s director, Bobet Vidanes, then came to intervene in their fight.
Fellow It’s Showtime host Amy Perez added to the conversation that fights and misunderstandings like this normally happen to them which she likened to a family.
“Normal lang sa magkakapatid na nag-aaway, nagkakatampuhan.
“It happens every single day, kasi hindi mo naman din mapi-predict ang mood ng bawat isa sa amin sa araw-araw… Normal din talaga minsan ‘yung nagkakainisan, pero hindi siya tumatanggal ng araw, o linggo, o buwan,” she said.
Vice said that he immediately reconciled with Anne the day after their fight.
“Sinundot ko lang siya sa puwet, tapos tumawa na siya!”Vice recalled.
Co-host Jhong Hilario, then joined the conversation by saying: “Pare-parehas na ‘yung kinakain namin araw-araw, naaamoy na namin ‘yung mga bituka namin araw-araw, may umuutot sa gilid mo, may dumidighay sa gilid mo, so parang wala na, sobrang intact na ng family na nabuo,” he said.
