San Miguel Corporation (SMC) president and chief operating officer Ramon Ang has vehemently denied rumors linking him to actress Julia Barretto.
In a statement provided by Public Relations of SMC, Ang said linking him to Julia is “malicious.”
The 65-year-old billionaire stressed that he does not recall ever meeting the 22-year-old Kapamilya star and at such a young age, he said Julia can be his own grandchild.
Ang then urged the public to not focus on these kind of issues because it will never contribute to the progress of the country.
However, Ang said it is not impossible that his own grandchildren could be friends with Julia someday.
According to Forbes, Ang is the eighth richest Filipino in the Philippines, standing at a net worth of $2.8 billion.
The rumor about Ang’s alleged relationship with Julia became the topic of some tabloids yesterday, following the latter’s mother’s exclusive interview with TV Patrol on Tuesday night.

In the said interview, Marjorie Barretto has denied rumor that she’s peddling her daughters to rich businessmen.
“My children are not for sale. I don’t even have very much wealthy friends to sell my children to,” Marjorie said.
“My children work very, very hard. My youngest daughter is a good student in college in Ateneo.
