- Rocco Nacino is set to star in a movie with ABS-CBN actors
- He will team up with Miles Ocampo in the movie
- He revealed that he made adjustments in working with his co-stars in the film
Rocco Nacino is teaming up with Miles Ocampo, Yeng Constatino, and Joem Bascon for the rom-com film Write About Love.
Though he is the only Kapuso actor in the group, Rocco was glad that he was able to establish a friendship with his co-actors.
“Nakakatuwa lang na sa isang proyekto kami magsasama-sama at itinuturing kong isang barkada,” Rocco said in an interview during the exclusive luncheon for Write About Love.
“It was fun being at out of the box, it was fun being in a different territory kasi nag-establish ako ng rapport sa lahat pati sa production. Pinagdaanan ko ‘yun. As an actor, it’s always challenging.”
The actor also thinks that cross-network collaborations are healthier for artists in the industry because it creates more job opportunities.
“Mas healthy kapag walang network war kasi mas maraming magkakaroon ng trabaho. Maganda ‘yung united lahat.”
Rocco admitted that he made adjustments just to be close with his co-stars in the movie.
“Maraming pagbabago, especially sa ‘kin sa mga ka-eksena ko. Nanlilibre ako ng mga pagkain, milk tea, para makuha ko ‘yung loob nila. It was easy. Si Joem, kaibigan ko talaga, sina Miles at Yeng ‘yung first time ko talaga naka-‘Hi, I’m Rocco. Siyempre, ‘di ko naman in-a-assume [na kilala nila ko kaya] nagpakilala ‘ko.”
How does he find Miles as his love team partner in the movie?
“Witty siya.
“Ang layo ng age gap namin pero sabi ng mga executives na bagay daw kami and it actually worked in a non-malicious way. Tina-try kong makipagsabayan sa mga joke niya. Kadalasan talo ako.
“‘Di s’ya nauubusan ng jokes kaya nakakatuwa siya kasama.”
Write About Love is a movie offered by TBA Studios, the producer behind the critically-acclaimed films Heneral Luna, Goyo, Bliss, Birdshot, and I’m Drunk, I Love You. The movie is helmed by Crisanto Aquino.
The Kapuso artists who had recently crossed borders to work with Kapamilya actors include Maine Mendoza who is now promoting her upcoming film with Carlo Aquino Isa Pa With Feelings and Alden Richards who teamed up with Kathryn Bernardo in the now highest-grossing Philippine film Hello, Love, Goodbye.
