Rita Daniela and Ken Chan are starring their second series as a love team, One of the Baes. With the success of their 2018 series My Special Tatay, the two made a lasting mark with their portrayals of their characters Aubrey and Boyet.
Rita and Ken are now set to bring kilig vibes again to RitKen fans through their newest and first-ever primetime series as a love team.
Rita takes the role of Jowalyn Biglangdapa, a girl who will do anything to become a ship captain including sidelining her love life. One day, she will meet Grant Altamirano, a blogger who will soon find out that Jowalyn is the one he’s looking for.
During a blog conference, Ken expressed his gratitude to everyone who helped them promote the romcom series.
Ken said, “Alam ko po na tutulungan niyo po kami ‘di ba? Salamat po sa inyong lahat. Ngayon pa lang po taos puso po kaming nagpapasalamat sa inyo dahil sa pagtulong niyo po sa amin para ipromote po ang programa namin na One of the Baes.”

Meanwhile, Rita dished out some interesting details about her character as Jowalyn.
“Ako po si Rita at gaganap po akong Jowalyn, Jowa for short. Si Jowa may istorya eh kung bakit Jowa ang kanyang pangalan. Sobrang malaking ano ‘to… Oo big reveal talaga ‘to. Isa ‘to sa dapat na abangan sa One of the Baes,” Rita said.
She continued:”Yung character ko po dito pangarap niya talagang maging kapitan ng barko dahil dun sa tatay niya si Sir Roderick. Idol na idol niya kasi yung tatay niya. So gusto niyang maging kapitan ng barko kahit na babae siya. Ipipilit niya talaga yon na maging kapitan ng barko. Ipapakita niya dito na hindi lang lalake ang may kayang gumawa nun, kundi rin ng mga babae. Para kay Jowa mas pipiliin niya ang pangarap kaysa sa pag-ibig. Samantala naman yung character ni Ken mas pipiliin niya ang pag-ibig kaysa sa pangarap.”
Joining Ken and Rita in the show are Tonton Gutierrez, Rodrick Paulate, Amy Austria, just to name a few.

Before becoming one half of the RitKen love team, Rita was formerly known for her antagonist roles in several GMA Network series including Impostora, Let the Love Begin, Strawberry Lane, and Villa Quintana. Her first love team partner was Kapuso actor Martin del Rosario. Her career was launched after being the first grand champion of QTV’s PopStar Kids in 2005. She then became a recording artist with the network.
Ken had been named as love team partners of Arra San Agustin and Barbie Forteza. He was part of popular series like The Cure, Meant To Be, Destiny Rose, The Rich Man’s Daughter, and Rhodora X. He started out on Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman as a host.
