In a text interview with GMA News Online, Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez explained the concept behind his viral dick painting. Gomez saif that if only people would look at it and understand thoroughly his artwork, it would have a deeper thought.
He said, “Self-explanatory. Given a deeper thought, it shows lust, self-pleasure, and power.”
According to the Ormoc Mayor, he has been painting since the ‘90s but he never got the chance to keep all of them.

Richard revealed during the text interview that he has been collecting artworks of other painters since the ‘80s without mentioning which painters he idolized.
“I’ve been collecting works from painters since the ‘80s when I started working and earning money. Most of what I’ve bought are still with me up to now.”
It can be recalled that Richard showcased his artwork “When Evening Comes” at the Pinto Museum in 2018 along with other artists such as Erwin Leano and Ferdie Montemayor. He also managed to present a solo artwork exhibit way back in December 2017 called “Surface.”

Richard’s Viral Painting
His viral yellow dick painting is allegedly worth P196K, which became the sore point for most netizens since they don’t see the value in the painting. A netizen on Twitter shared that his late father never got the chance to sell his artworks for six digits, compared to Richard’s dick artwork.
