Anne Curtis will be the lead star for the joint production venture of Viva Films and The IdeaFirst Company, the upcoming horror film The Nurse.
Director Perci Intalan emphasized that they chose Anne since they have been longing to work with the actress for the second time around after the Bakit Lahat ng Guwapo May Boyfriend in 2016.
Perci declared: “Actually, matagal nang gusto ni Jun (Lana) na maka-work uli si Anne kasi last na naka-work namin siya, nun pa, sa Bakit Lahat ng Guwapo May Boyfriend, na before Die Beautiful pa.”
Perci also revealed that they did not have a hard time to convince Anne as the It’s Showtime host immediately accepted the project as soon as she has read the entire script.
“Nagkita kami uli and sabi namin, mag-pitch kami ng project para maka work siya uli. Nagustuhan naman niya agad yung script ng The Nurse and plan naming na mag-shoot abroad.”
Perci and Jun Lana of The IdeaFirst Company did not elaborate more details about The Nurse but they mentioned that Lorna Tolentino will also be part of the horror film.
Perci and Jun’s first choice for the role was Nadine Lustre but due to several conflicts, they decided not to push through the project with the actress.

Jun took the time to explain on Twitter specifically to Nadine’s fans, they had to recast the role because of the conflict in schedules which would also entail traveling to Japan twice for preparations.
Scheduling conflict. Been waiting too long and it’s taken too much of my time. Going to Japan 2x to prep is no joke. Time to move and let go and recast. Thanks for the interest, guys.
