Following the success of ‘Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit’ on daytime, the newest Koreanovela ‘I Have Lover‘ led in its timeslot on its pilot week.
Based on NUTAM People Ratings, ‘I Have Lover’ recorded a pilot episode rating of 6.5% versus ‘Wagas‘ featuring Jak Roberto and Barbie Forteza’s love team which only got 5.7%. The newest Kapamilya Koreanovela immediately picked up and closed its pilot week with 7.5%, or 1 point higher since its start.
Meanwhile, the Kapuso drama anthology featuring JakBie opened the week with 3.7% and closed it with 4.0%.
The newest Koreanovela ‘I Have Lover‘ revolves around married couple Marvin (Ji Jin-Hee) and Aira (Kim Hyun-joo) who start to drift apart after the death of their daughter. Aira forces herself to move on while Marvin continues to grieve. The gradual change in their relationship eventually leads to Marvin’s affair with his student, Sofia (Park Han-byul). Upon learning of the affair, a devastated Aira soon gets involved in a mysterious car accident, which results in her memory loss. Years later, Marvin, who believes Aira is long dead, comes face to face with a woman who eerily resembles her. As old feelings come rushing back, Marvin tries to pursue her, but not without great struggle: the woman does not know who he is, insisting she isn’t the woman he claims her to be, but someone named Yolly, who is now married to another man.
With Marvin trying to win the heart of Yolly, his relationship with Sofia begins to fall apart and even more complications soon arise.
