Kapuso singer Mark Bautista shared that finding his soulmate is not his priority right now.
In an exclusive interview with GMA Network, he said that whoever can make his heart skip a beat will definitely “the one” for him.
“Tinitignan ko na kung ano ba ‘yung mas compatible sa akin. Kung ano lang ‘yung nagpapa-shine sa aking puso, nagpapa-spark ‘yun lng, yun. Hindi naman sa hindi pa siya priority. Hindi pa, hindi pa siya dumating. Wow (laughs), showbiz na showbiz ‘yun.”
Furthermore, Mark has become more careful now in choosing a partner and said “Mas ano ako ngayon, mas maingat sa pagpili. Simple lang ‘yun, kung nagko-connect ako sa soul ng isang tao. Masaya naman ako ngayon.”

Mark bagged the first runner-up title from IBC’s Star for a Night, and then signed a contract with ABS-CBN in 2004. He became one of the regular performers on ASAP and the host of ABS-CBN’s Search for the Star in a Million for season 1 and 2.

During his tenure at ABS-CBN, Mark was able to release five music albums such as the following:
- Mark Bautista with more than 15,000 copies sold
- Dream on Expanded in 2006
- Every Now and Then Gold in 2007
- On August 15, 2008, Mark released his I’ll Be the One album
- Nagmamahal, Mark Bautista album in 2010
After five years with ABS-CBN, Mark decided to transfer to GMA Network in 2010
Mark on coming out
When Mark published his first ever book Beyond the Mark in February 2018, the Kapuso singer took the opportunity to reveal his true feelings. He was brave enough to conquer his fears and revealed that he was bisexual.
Mark wrote his story with a mission in mind to be more comfortable working with his castmates. He continually hopes that through his book, he would able to spread love to his readers.
“Well, I hope that I was able to spread love through my book and sana sila rin.”
Thankful for GMA Network’s continuous support
His journey after ‘coming out’ has never been easy, especially when fans and other people saw hi as a straight man when they first saw him on TV. Nevertheless, Mark is truly thankful to GMA for supporting him in every endeavor he takes.
“I’m in a good state. I’m happy, I’m happy that GMA is still supporting me.”
