Maja Salvador’s upcoming iWant series Hinahanap-hanap Kita, paved the way for her to get the leading role in The Killer Bride as Camila Dela Torre.
According to the Kapamilya actress, when they were filming the scenes of her upcoming iWant series in Dubai, she persistently applied and auditioned to be part of The Killer Bride, and got the role after a month.
“Habang nasa Dubai kami, kinukulit ko po ‘yung boss ko, nag-a-apply ako sa kanya sa Killer Bride. Ang sinasabi nila mayroon raw akong ibang serye, tapos sinasabi ko parang okay po talaga diyan.”
According to Maja, there was another actress who was supposed to play the role of Camila but then, due to personal matters, did not push through. She was not allowed to identify the actress and could only give a hint about her.
She said: “Si ano po ‘yan, kaso nga lang kasi may anak na siya gusto niya mag focus sa anak niya and gusto niya mag focus sa anak niya and all, malayo ganyan.”

The Killer Bride beats The Better Woman
The Killer Bride’s ratings remain on top, against the finale episode of its rival show on GMA network which is The Better Woman last Friday. Based on Kantar Media, the latter’s finale episode only got 16.6% rating while Maja’s suspense-drama series ranked 1.2% higher.

Last Monday was the pilot episode of GMA’s newest One of the Baes, starring Ken Chan and Rita Daniela. This drama and romantic comedy series is the replacement show of The Better Woman in the same timeslot to go up against Maja’s suspense-drama series.
