Kapuso Actress Maine Mendoza’s movie with Carlo Aquino Isa Pa with Feelings is now in theaters. Directed by Prime Cruz, this will be the first Filipino film to incorporate sign language under Black Sheep Productions.
In an interview with Push Bets Live, Isa Pa With Feelings actress Maine Mendiza shared what she experienced auditioning for ABS CBN’S reality television show, Pinoy Big Brother in 2014.
“Naisipan ko lang mag-audition, may nagsabi sa akin, may nag-invite kung gusto ko bang mag-audition for PBB.”
Mendoza shared that she really wanted to join Pinoy Big Brother, but the odds weren’t in her favor.
“Ako naman, even before, honest naman ako na gusto ko talagang makasali ng PBB. So nakita rin na baka eto na rin yung chance. So yun na nga yung chance, pero hindi pa yon yung tamang panahon.”
It was June of last year when the audition video of Maine was shared to the public by Direk Lauren Dyogi himself.

The actress admitted that after her unsuccessful audition she felt sad, but the total experience that she got made her happy.
“Nagsimula ako no’n ng alas-sais nang umaga hanggang ala-una nang umaga. Pero umuwi ako ng sad. Pero okay lang masaya yung experience.”
On the other hand, Direktor Dyogi shared that he’s very happy for Maine’s success as an actress now.
In his YouTube video, “log 7: Is PBB Scripted? It’s about time I speak up about this, the director shared how Maine would have been successful in a different way as actres if she became a housemate.
The director compared ex-houemates Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber and said that if Edward didn’t become a housemate, Maymay would be famous in a different way.
“Maymay with Edward worked. Maymay without Edward, hindi natin alam how that will happen. In the same way that people will… Nanghihinayang ako kay Maine. Pero without Alden, we don’t know if Maine will work in ‘PBB’ lang.”

Despite not being able to choose Maine as a housemate before, he is very happy now for her success.
“Nag-work ‘yung Maine at Alden sa ‘Eat Bulaga,’ so iyon ang kapalaran niya. Hindi iyon kawalan sa amin. Hindi talaga kami ang tamang paraan para sa kasikatan niya… I’m very, very happy for Maine.”
In the following month, July 2015, after Maine’s Pinoy Big Brother audition, she was introduced as Yaya Dub on Eat Bulaga
As of now, Maine’s plans to release another book that focuses on poetry.
“Of course, gusto ko talagang mag-release pa ng isa pang book. Gusto ko sana ng poetry book.”
The actress also shared that she’s really not blogging these days because of the misunderstanding that the netizens could get from what she’s sharing on her blog.
“Pero ngayon hindi na ako masyadong nakakapag-blog kasi yung ibang tao masyadong nag-a-analyze ng mga sinusulat at shine-share natin sa social media so, i-keep na lang natin sa sarili natin.”
