- Kyline Alcantara prays for the success of her debut film.
- Kyline hoped Black Lipstick will make it at the box office.
Kapuso actress Kyline Alcantara shared her anxiousness about the box office result of her debut film Black Lipstick.
In an interview with Pep.ph at the premiere of the film, Alcantara said she’s nervous about the would-be results of their film in the box office.
“Hindi ko nga po alam kung ano ang nararamdaman ko. Halu-halo nga po, e. Kasi ito na po iyong araw na hihinintay ko at kinatatakutan ko. Sana nga po, maging successful,” Kyline said.
With the current hits and misses in the Philippine cinema, it is really uncertain if a movie will make it or not.
Following the success of Hello, Love, Goodbye and Jowable and the not-so-good results of Indak and Kiko En Lala, one would really be nervous about their movie especially if it is a launching film.
But Kyline believed that her fans and supporters will help her to make her debut film successful. She also added that whatever the outcome would be she’ll still be happy and proud.
“Kinakabahan po ako. Pero dito po mapapatunayan kung paano po ako suportahan ng Sunflowers. Pero kung ano man po ang magiging resulta nito, proud na proud po ako sa inyo,” she added.
Black Lipstick is the millennial version of hit Seiko films movie Blusang Itim.
It tackles the issue of toxic social media culture and bullying.
“Kung nagustuhan niyo ho ang Blusang Itim noong araw, mas magugustuhan ninyo ang Black Lipstick ngayon!” said Blusang Itim lead star Snooky Serna who now plays mother of Kyline in Black Lipstick.
