Kris Aquino defended the Barretto sisters from a netizen who made disparaging remarks against the three famous personalities.
This came after the netizen reacted to an Instagram post Kris made for her older sister Viel Aquino-Dee.
“Happy Birthday, Viel. Ang swerte ko to have sisters like you, Pinky, and Ate,” she said referring to her two siblings Pinky Aquino-Abellada at Ballsy Aquino-Cruz.
“Thanks for really being someone the 2 boys and I can count on.
“We love you. I’m not allowed to mention the achievements of her kids, BUT she’s one truly awesome mom!” Kris wrote.

The Instagram user named @bie.lao then commented on her post with: “I hope your sisters won’t fight like the barretto wild crazy sisters!! Lol!!”
The Queen of All Media then defended the Barretto sisters reminding that they are also struggling with the death of their father, Miguel Alvir Barretto.
Kris responded, “You know that they are grieving, right? And there’s no need for us to add to their pain?”
Kris and Claudine once worked together on the movie Etiquette for Mistresses (2015). She also co-starred with Marjorie and Dennis Padilla’s daughter, Julia, in the film I Love You Hater (2018).
Barretto sisters Marjorie, Claudine, and Gretchen were once again entangled in a feud after they figured in a scuffle during the wake of their father. Marjorie and Gretchen then trade barbs online for days.
In an Instagram post, their brother JJ Barretto said that the family feud has quieted down so he pleaded with netizens to avoid making any more issues about his sisters.
This was after a netizen asked why he is not posting photos with Gretchen and if they are okay.
JJ then replied with, “Check the posts of claudine. nandun kami with gretch and mum. Pls stop making issues. nananahimik na kame pls.”
