Many might assume that the Culion movie meant the end of John Lloyd Cruz’s hiatus from acting, but the actor has said otherwise. The 36-year-old actor clarified that he has no plans yet to go back to the entertainment industry.
John Lloyd gave his statement to ANCX about the Culion movie trailer to avoid misleading the audience as well as his fans.
He stated: “I thought including me in the teaser was preemptive. It was the opposite of what I actually requested and agreed on.”
Moreover, he thinks it is unfair for the audience to think that this might be his comeback movie.
“But as much as I am drawn to the idea of letting my work, of any kind, have its own life and take its own course in terms of output (unmindful of how it mutates, grows, and sometimes gets diminished) I am also wary of misleading an audience. That wouldn’t be fair. Hence, I felt compelled to clarify my participation in the film.”
It has been two years when the phenomenal actor was last seen in a movie. His last movie project was with Sarah Geronimo for the Finally Found Someone film.
Culion was written by Ricky Lee and directed by Alvin Yapan.
