“Aware ako and I told them na I don’t know that.
“I never did that. Wala akong ginawang ganyan. Wala akong kalokohang pinaggagagawang ganyan.
“Kasi hindi ko naman ata gagawin din ‘yan. Sinabi sa akin ng manager ko, sabi niya, ‘Ano yan?’” Anjo said during the mediacon of the GMA Network series Madrasta last September 30, Monday.
He continued, “Siyempre, sabi ko, ‘Hindi ko alam. Bakit, ako ‘yan? Hindi naman ako ‘yan. Ang liit naman!’” Anjo laughed.
“‘Tsaka ang liit naman nun,’ sabi ko, ‘Ano ba ‘yan?’
“I have a lot of red shorts,” Anjo said pertaining to the red shorts used by the person exposing himself in the photo.
“Bakit? Kasi nag-San Beda ako. Uso talaga ang red and white, pero wala akong ganung [nude photo].”
Anjo said that he is one hundred percent sure that he doesn’t have any nude scandal.
“E, siyempre ang liit naman nun,” he repeated.
The actor claimed that he would never take a photo of himself while being naked.
“Never, at baka baka mabighani ang mga tao kapag nakita yung akin!” Anjo joked.
The actor is currently managed by Jonas Gaffud of Mercator Artist and Model Management and Empire.PH. Did Jonas believe him when he said that he was not the person in the photo?
“A, siyempre, ano ang mas paniniwalaan ng manager ko? Siyempre ako. Kasi ako, hindi ko gagawin yun! Galing ako sa very religious family.
“Ako lang yata ang… hindi naman tumatakwil, although may gusto kasi akong gawin, na hindi rin sila sang-ayon,” he said pertaining to his acting career.
“Kasi, of course, maraming tukso.”
Anjo then agreed that is a world full of intrigues.
“Oo, ganyan, lalo na yung lumabas nga na picture na sinasabi mo, nakita rin ng family ko yun.
“Sabi nila sa akin, ‘Ikaw ba talaga ‘yan?’
“Sabi ko, ‘Ano ba kayo, kayo ang nagpalaki sa akin, malamang nakita na ninyo yung akin, ano ang masasabi nyo? Hindi ako ‘yan, kilala niyo ako.’
“Hindi ganyan ang banyo ko!” he reacted to the viral photo which was captured inside a bathroom.
Anjo’s mother had strongly disagreed about his decision to join showbiz but luckily, the actor persuaded her in the end.
“Napapayag ko siya in a way na parang, ‘You know, this is what I love, Mama. Hindi mo naman ako mapipigilan, e.
“‘Kasi, sooner or later, darating at darating din yun sa akin.
“‘May mga opportunities na bigla na lang tumatawag, nagte-text sa akin na kailangan nandito ako, kailangan ako nandiyan.
“‘So, wala kang magagawa, ganun talaga. And napapayag ko naman siya.”
Anjo narrated that he auditioned for a spot in a boy band in the past but was eventually eliminated due to his lack of dancing skills.
“May audition dati for a boy band, so nag-audition ako. 2013 ata yun. Tinanggal ako kasi, in short, hindi ako marunong sumayaw!”
Anjo was later tapped for his acting potential rather than his lack of dancing skills.
