SINGAPORE—OCT. 15, 2019 – MTV today unveiled a group of powerhouse performers to kick off the “2019 MTV EMAs” lineup. Multi-platinum artist Halsey, Spanish sensation Rosalía, internationally renowned singer/actress and EMA show host Becky G, global superstar Akon, pop phenomenon Ava Max, as well as “Best New” and “Best Push” nominee Mabel are the first performers announced for the global music celebration airing live from FIBES Conference & Exhibition Centre of Seville, Spain on Sunday, November 3rd at 9:00pm CET.
The 2019 MTV EMAs will broadcast live on MTV Asia on Monday, 4 November 2019, starting with the red carpet premiere at 2.00 AM (WIB), 3.00 AM (SG/MY/PH), and 4.00 AM (MY – Astro). This is followed by the main show at 3.00 AM (WIB), 4.00 AM (SG/MY/PH), and 5.00 AM (MY – Astro). Catch the primetime encore telecast on the same day, 4 November, with the red carpet at 7.00 PM (WIB) and 8.00 PM (SG/MY/PH), and the main show at 7.50 PM (WIB) and 8.50 PM (SG/MY/PH).
Halsey returns to the EMA stage with three nods for “Best Collaboration,” “Best Pop” and “Best Look.” Rosalía also returns with four nominations for “Best Video,” “Best Collaboration,” “Best Look” and “Best Push.” The “2019 MTV EMA” marks Becky G, Ava Max and Mabel’s EMA stage debuts.
Halsey’s EMA performance announcement follows the release of her new single “Graveyard,” from her album Manic – the follow-up to her chart-topping 2017 album hopeless fountain kingdom – to be released on January 17, 2020 on Capitol Records.
Rosalía’s EMA appearance affirms her quick ascent to global stardom, following her first two MTV VMA Awards and the releases of her recent single “Yo x Ti, Tu x Mi” with Ozuna and frequent “Song of the Summer” pick “Con Altura” with J Balvin and featuring El Guincho.
“2019 MTV EMA” host and superstar Becky G will perform to fans worldwide after the release of her highly anticipated first album Mala Santa.
Akon will take the stage with Becky G to perform “Como No” from his first Spanish-Language album El Negreeto, which recently debuted as the No. 1 album on the Latin charts.
Ava Max’s EMA performance comes at the heels of MTV’s premiere of the epic music video for “Torn,” her latest dance-pop single.
British pop sensation Mabel will be performing her global smash “Don’t Call Me Up,” from her debut studio album High Expectations.
As previously announced, iconic rock act Green Day will also perform from Seville’s spectacular Plaza de España as a part of “MTV World Stage Seville.”
