- It’s Showtime removed Ate Gay as TNT Celebrity Champions contender.
- Ate Gay’s manager shared the news of Ate Gay’s removal from TNT.
After appeasing fans about the rumors that he backed out from the competition, comedian Ate Gay is now really out of Tawag Ng Tanghalan Celebrity Champions.
The news was confirmed by no less than his manager Freddie Bautista in a Facebook post.
In his post Wednesday, October 16, Bautista said he is saddened by what happened with Ate Gay’s supposed TNT journey without any clear reason.

The manager is clueless about the real reason behind saying he knows no issue about ABS-CBN or It’s Showtime and Ate Gay for them to just cancel his appearance on the noontime singing competition.
He added that what’s more saddening is the fact that efforts were already made, fans and supporters were already expecting his performance but were all put to waste without any clear reason and explanation.
Aside from his manager, Ate Gay also took to Facebook to share the unfortunate news that he will no longer compete in Tawag Ng Tanghalan Celebrity Champions.
On his Facebook post, Ate Gay said It’s Showtime management didn’t give any specific reason for his exit but he thanked all the madlang people who supported him and waited for his chance to step on the TNT stage.
