• Betong Sumaya explained why he chose to be single for several years now

Kapuso comedian-actor Betong Sumaya has remained loveless for several years now. In a recent interview, the actor decided to address questions about his love life.
Betong admitted that he had his last romantic relationship five years ago.
“I think five years ago po yata. Ngayon po masaya na po siya kasama po ang asawa niya,” he laughingly recalled.
When asked why he still remains loveless up to this time, the actor explained that he is still waiting for the right person.
Betong said, “Feeling ko kapag hinahanap ko siya, pag pilit mo siyang hinahanap, hindi nagiging okay. So dapat talaga hintayin na lang.”
Is Betong open to a relationship with a fellow celebrity?
“Okay din naman po. Kaya lang minsan kasi ang dami nating mga stories na may nagbo-boyfriend, hindi nagwo-work ‘yung relationship artista sa artista. Pero siyempre mas maganda mas naiintindihan nila ‘pag artista.”
Though the 43-year-old comedian has been close-mouthed about his past romances,Betong laid bare that he once had a relationship with sexy singer-actress Patricia Javier or Genesis Canlapan in real life. In 2003, the actress married Dr. Robert Walcher and shortly after had a beautiful baby boy.
Currently, Betong is gearing up for his first birthday concert entitled, “Betong’s Amazing Concert: Try Ko Lang Ha?” this coming November 21st. It will be graced by several huge Kapuso stars including Dingdong Dantes and Alden Richards.
He said, “Ang dami pong guests po. Sa dami nila at sa sobrang bigat, baka magmukha pong ako ang guest nila.”
Though he admitted that he still doubts himself, the comedian expressed his excitement to show off his talents, specially in singing, through the upcoming concert.

“Ito’y sinasabi ko lang na susubukan ko lang po. Pero kung ano man ‘yung tingin ninyo, kayo na yung bahala, kayo na yung humusga,” he said explaining his concert’s title.
Betong’s Amazing Concert: Try Ko Lang Ha? will be held in Music Museum.It is directed by Juan Paulo Infante and under the musical direction of Jojo Diamse.
The concert will be produced by Michael Angelo Productions and Make It Happen Media Production in partnership with GMA Artist Center.
Betong appears as a mainstay of the country’s longest-running gag show ‘Bubble Gang.’ He also stars in the Kapuso primetime series ‘The Gift.’
