Former Star Magic talent Anjo Damiles revealed the reason behind his network transfer during the press conference of GMA Network’s Madrasta TV series.
Anjo revealed that lack of projects and the increasing numbers of new talents forced him to transfer to ABS-CBN’s rival network.
He revealed, “Baka wala lang pong sumwak. Siyempre, marami naman po kasing artista sa ABS-CBN, na alam niyo naman po iyung mga bini-build up na bago, so ang hirap din naman po kasi na pagsabay-sabayin kaming lahat.”
Despite his revelation, Anjo thoroughly understands if he doesn’t fit a role that it may cause the production team and everyone on the project to take higher risks.
“Lalo na kung nakita nilang mas bagay sa kanila yung role, bakit nila ipipilit sa taong hindi naman, you know, not for the role? Masasayang ang pondo, ang hirap ng bawat actors and actresses, yung pagod ng director, of course, ng buong production, lahat.”
Anjo feels that there was no ABS-CBN series meant for him so he jumped over to its rival network.
“Siyempre, saying naman pag ganun. So, I think, iyon ang nangyari. Hindi lang talaga ako swak sa dumating na mga teleserye.”
