- Kim Domingo is opening her doors to playing sexy roles again
- She diverted from her sexy image in showbiz for two years
- She rose to prominence with her dubsmash of the song ‘Twerk It Like Miley’ in 2014
Kapuso sexy star Kim Domingo is now open to playing sexy roles again. It has been two years since the star took a rest from maintaining her sexy image.
“Ano na talaga, iyon na iyung gusto ng puso ko! Ayoko nang mag-ano, mas gusto ko na mag-focus sa acting,” Kim said during an interview for Super Tekla’s launching film Kiko en Lala.
Kim was also thankful to GMA Network for understanding her decision to refuse daring roles in the past.
She said, “Thankful din ako, kasi naintindihan ako ng GMA, hindi nila ako yung parang, ‘Hindi, hindi puwede, kailangang mag-ganito ka!’ Hindi, walang ganun.”
But recently, the Kapuso sexy star said that she is now ready to show off her skills as a sexy actress if the story calls for it.
“Iyon nga po ang sabi ko, depende talaga sa scenario, depende sa kuwento. Why not, di ba? Kasi, sabi ko, hindi ko naman po talaga totally isinasarado yung pintuan. Kasi, imposible naman na kung magkaroon ng project na maganda, di ba, tapos may halong ganun, di ba, why not? Kung para naman sa movie.”
Kim is known as one of the sexiest stars in the showbiz today. The sexy star once admitted that she was no longer happy doing sexy roles through a social media post.
In December 2018, the actress reportedly refused a sexy role in Ganti with Max Collins, Jason Abalos, and Mark Herras. She was then replaced with Sophie Albert while the series’ title was then changed to Bihag.
Her break from sexy roles only began when the actress had a relationship with Michael “Mike” Acuña. After more than three years, Kim announced that they officially broke up last June.
Kim currently plays Katya in the drama horror series Hanggang Sa Dulo Ng Buhay Ko with main cast members Kris Bernal, Megan Young, and Rayver Cruz.
“Kasi horror, e, tapos kailangan talaga mahaba rin ang patience mo, kasi hindi rin ganun kadali,” Kim explained.
“For example, yung sa set-up, maraming kailangan diyan, yung mga lights, mga ganyan-ganyan. So, kailangan, patience po talaga.”
In the series’ story, Kris’ ghost character (Naomi) usually possesses Kim’s (Katya) body to disrupt the lives of her former boyfriend Rayver (Matteo) and Megan (Yvie). Kim considers her role in the series as a demanding one.
“Meron po akong switching, from mabait to salbahe. E, ang galing ni Kris (Bernal)!”
Kim also revealed her dream to work with other actors of the Kapuso network.
“Si Alden (Richards), hindi ko pa nakaka-work. Si Kuya Dong (Dingdong Dantes), hindi ko pa nakaka-work. Si Tom (Rodriguez), naka-work ko na sa indie film. Si Dennis (Trillo), sa Juan Happy Love Story,” she recalled.
Among the Kapuso female stars, Kim expressed her hopes to work with Marian Rivera again whom she first worked together on the series Super Ma’am. Until now, the two stars are still keeping in touch through their Viber group.
“Si Miss Marian talaga!” she answered.
