- Vice Ganda and Ion Perez get emotional as they exchange “I love yous” on It’s Showtime
- Both of them shed tears and their co-hosts were surprised
- The two have long been rumored to be a couple, but there was no confirmation
In the Friday (September 20) episode of It’s Showtime, Vice Ganda and Ion Perez suddenly got emotional. The emotional moment happened during the Mr. Q&A contest of the noontime program when Kuya Escort Ion joined the hosts on stage.
Rumored couple Vice and Ion were suddenly in tears, confusing co-hosts Anne Curtis and Vhong Navarro.
Hosts Anne and Vhong, challenged Ion to give an example of how he says “I love you” with Vice Ganda as the recipient.
What started as playful teasing about his tendency to sound angry when he speaks, struck a chord with Ion, who started tearing up when Vice took his turn to say “I love you” back.
When he saw Ion teary-eyed, Vice Ganda became emotional too.
Anne then asked, “Bakit kayo nag-iiyakan? Naiiyak na rin ako!”
Vice and Ion’s co-hosts Anne and Vhong, pulled the rumored couple together in a group hug.
Vhong asked Ion what caused his tears?
“Ang saya pag nakikita siyang masaya.. Ang sarap makita na masaya ‘yung taong mahal mo,” Ion said
Vice , whose back was turned to the camera, had to take a moment to compose himself, before prompting his co-hosts, “Hoy, mag-contest na tayo.”
The rumored couple has been the subject of speculation over the year. Although the rumor has not been confirmed, there have been enough sweet moments between to keep the rumor mill going.
Vice sent out a tweet after the program appearing to address what happened.
“Andami niyong nagmamahal sa akin at masaya para sa kasiyahan ko. Maraming salamat! Mapalad ako,” he tweeted.
