The Big Three of Robi Domingo, Gretchen Ho, and Alyssa Valdez head to Recto inside the lair of the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors this Saturday at 1 pm on ABS-CBN S+A, to show the best things about the campus with its finest athletes and students.
Joining them for this episode are former Red Warrior Ronald “The Saint” Tubid, Lady Red Warriors stalwarts Judith Abil and Kath Arado, the UE Red Warriors champion fencing team, and beauty queen Jayzamel Vista, who have all brought pride and honor to their beloved alma mater.
Ronald, known as “The Saint” for modeling as St. Pedro Calungsod for a painting, was widely popular back in his heydays for the Red Warriors, being one of its main cogs alongside the likes of James Yap and Paul Artadi.
The Saint will talk about his time as a student in UE, where he was a rookie captain for the basketball squad and how his time there prepared him for his long and successful career in the pros.
Not to be outdone, volleyball idols Judith and Kath will also be going around the campus in “Campus Hacks,” where they will show viewers the best places to hangout in school.
Meanwhile, Alyssa will look inside the training sessions of one of the UAAP’s most dominant squads in history: the Red Warriors’ fencing team, which racked up a 7-peat and is currently in the hunt for its 8th straight fencing crown.
The team has produced athletes such as Rolando Canlas, who was a gold medalist in the SEA Games in its storied run.
Like in previous seasons, “U-Town,” will also put the spotlight on students who are excelling in fields outside sports.
We will get to meet one of UE’s finest in beauty queen Jayzamel Vista, who is is a multi-awarded youth leader and the first-ever Filipina to be named Miss Teen Planet International 2016.
She will share with us her experience competing for the crown in Bulgaria and what she wants to achieve as one of the school’s “University Lodi.”
