- Carlos Agassi retracted his statement from September 2011 and said that he had no experience with the “third sex”
- It was on September 28, 2011 when the actor revealed that he had engaged in a “gay relationship”
- Agassi is part of the cast of the upcoming primetime drama series, “Beautiful Justice”
Carlos Agassi is a 39-year-old Filipino actor. He was once part of ABS-CBN’s Star Magic and in the group The Hunks with Piolo Pascual, Jericho Rosales, Diether Ocampo, and Bernard Palanca.
He landed his first role as Marco Trinidad in Gimik which he played from 1996 to 1999. In 2001, he played the role of Benjamin “Benjie” Ilagan / Benedicto opposite Claudine Baretto in Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan.
On September 28, 2011, Agassi revealed that he had engaged in a “gay relationship” and said that it was not something he would regret as it is already in the past and it helped him grow to become better.
He stated, “I can’t say I don’t care. But I don’t see anything wrong [with owning up to my mistake] because a person who’ll love me should love me for the person that I am right now. For what it’s worth, I’m grateful for my past mistakes because they made me a better person now. It’s just sad that whatever mistakes I did in the past are carried over to my present life.”
He also added that even though it is considered a taboo, for him “There’s nothing wrong with that. 2,000 years ago meron ng ganon. I mean, ayoko naman magmukhang masama sa mga extremists na ayaw sa bading, at ayoko rin naman magmukang masyadong open-minded about it. But let’s face the fact that it’s happening. But I guess I can only speak for myself. If I do something, aaminin ko kahit mali man siya. At kung mali man, pagsisihan ko, knowing that it will make me a better person.”

Despite the bold remarks then, during the press conference of Beautiful Justice, an upcoming action-drama series he will be part of, Agassi retracted his previous statement and said that he had no experience in the “third sex.”
Never mind that he made the previous statement very publicly during a press conference for Prabeyt Benjamin back then, Agassi made contradictory statements about his experiences during the press con for his new show.
While he has had no regular showbiz projects for some time, Agassi is busy running Brasas, a restaurant specializing in Latin American street food in Manila. In one of his past interviews, the actor revealed that he really dreams of having his own restaurant.
On December 12, Agassi will be celebrating his 40th birthday. However, he has no plan of throwing a party.
