Kapuso actress Kris Bernal had an emotional breakdown on YouTube after almost all her social media accounts were hacked.
In a YouTube video posted Sunday, September 22, Bernal cried out for help to retrieve her social media accounts.
According to Kris, a group of hackers from Kenya and Turkey managed to take control of her account and started posting visually graphic content. The attack happened as early as 3 am, Sunday.
A devastated Bernal shared that the hacker even texted her via messaging app Whatsapp and asked for $700 in exchange for her account.
“Tinatawagan nya ako. Sinendan nya pa ko ng whatsapp na I have to pay like more than $700 to get back my account,” she said.
Kris couldn’t help but cry because she said she did everything to save and retrieve her account but she could not get it back. What’s depressing according to her is not the number number of followers she has because it’s only 1.4 million compared to other big stars but because those followers are her hard work.
“If there is someone who could help me retrieve my account please help, My gosh I don’t know why I am crying. It’s just a small thing I know but really it’s hard work,” Kris said while breaking down in tears.
In the end, the Kapuso star said she hoped all her followers will still follow her on her new account.
“I’m sorry if I’m gonna do, I’m gonna create another account and I hopen those like few followers I have, those 1.4 million followers you’ll still add my account and support me,” pleaded Kris.

Dear all, It is with a heavy heart for me to say that all my social media accounts (including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook page, and personal Email) are hacked by a suspicious group from Kenya, Turkey this morning, September 22, 2019 (Sunday) 2AM. I am deeply saddened that my followers have to see abnormalities and visually graphic content of violence etc in some posts earlier. I kept retrieving it since 2AM that I skipped going to work to secure my other accounts.
Please refrain from entertaining any messages from all accounts as this is still being investigated on how I can retrieve my accounts. The hacker is calling me and asking me to pay in dollars. If they are asking money from you, kindly block and report the numbers calling you. Please report to Instagram that my account has been hacked.
I have followed all the process to retrieve but I still can’t. If you can help me in any way, kindly leave a comment below.
