Former Pinoy Big Brother Otso housemates Karina Bautista and Aljon Mendoza confirmed the real status of their relationship.
In an interview after the press con of ABS-CBN’s latest teleserye Sandugo, the teen stars were asked about the real score between them.
KarJon then repeated what they had already said to Boy Abunda during their guesting on Tonight With Boy Abunda, that they are special friends.
Asked how they define their special friendship, Karina and Aljon said that it’s more of having to share many things and experiences.
“It’s like special friends, parang ah madami na kameng pinagdaanan na kami yung magkasama, madame kaming experiences,” said the two.
Aside from their special friendship, the ex-PBB housemates were also asked how they felt that they are being groomed to be the next Kapamilya love team to watch out for.
For Aljon, he said they will work hard to be worthy of the support that they’re getting.
“Hangga’t kaya po namin pagtatrabahuhan namin na maging ganun. And ayaw naman namin idisappoint yung mga sumusuporta po sa amin and yung mga nagtitiwala sa amin na binigyan po kame ng proyekto,” said Aljon.

Karina, on the other hand, said it’s something to be grateful for, but at the same time it’s also a big responsibility
“Siyempre very thankful kame na nasasabihan po kami ng ganun, pero yun, it comes with a very, a big great responsibility,” she said.
KarJon is part of the upcoming Kapamilya afternoon teleserye Sandugo. Initially, Karina wasn’t part of the promo of the series creating speculation that Aljon will be paired with another teen star.
But during the press con, the production team clarified that Karina was really part of the original cast but they could not divulge it then because she was supposes to go back to the PBB house as part of the PBB Otso Batch 1 Big 4.
Karina and Aljon started their career in PBB house. They made headlines when Karina confessed to Big Brother her feelings for Aljon despite her having a boyfriend at that time. She eventually ironed out things between them and her former boyfriend.
