Joross Gamboa suggested that his longtime friend Sandara Park and Alden Richards would make a good match since they are both single. Joross and Alden first worked together on Hello, Love, Goodbye, the current top-grossing Philippine film of all time.
It all started when he was interviewed at the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2019 media launch at Sequoia Hotel in Quezon City last July. The actor is part of the cast of The Panti Sisters, an official entry of the film festival.
Sandara or Dara, former 2NE1 member, has remained single for years. She and Joross have been friends since their Star Circle Quest days
Joross shared that he was looking for a new love interest for his friend until one member of the press mentioned Alden’s name.
“Oo nga no pwede si Alden at si Sandara.Oo maganda suggestion mo,” Joross agreed.
“Si Sandara gusto niya yung mga bata ang itsura. Parang cougar yun eh, binibiro ko,” he enthused.
“Kaedad ko naman mga 35.Gusto ni Sandara mga bata yung mukha. Mga Mario Maurer, mga ganon. Ipagco-connect ko nga yung dalawang yon. Ibubugaw ko. Ako naman kasi gusto ko naman yung ganun. Gusto ko yung nagiging kupido ako.”
“Si Sandara ano yan…wholesome.”
Joross was said to be the matchmaker between Sandara and Thai actor Mario Maurer. However, their dating relationship did not last long.
He was then asked about the dating rumors between Alden and Beauty Queen Winwyn Marquez but he said that he has no knowledge about it.
Joross also believed that Alden might like meeting Sandara.
“Wala namang ibang…meron na ba siyang iba? Wala pa naman.”
He reasoned that Sandara remains single till now due to certain conditions of her career and the customs of her country.
“Mahigpit sa Korea kasi. Iba yung culture nila. Saka sa kanila raw pala, halimbawa naanakan ka kaso wala kang asawa, parang ano na kaagad yung career mo, kumbaga ganon. May mga ganun sila, seryososo. Sobrang wholesome nila hindi maganda tignan yung nagkakaroon ka ng iba-ibang boyfriend. Kaya siguro siya naging sobrang ingat .Kasi panahon ng prime niya na bagets dalaga siya maraming nagpaparamdam pero mahigpit yung manager nila. Bawal sila magboyfriend.
“Ako kung mag-aano ako sa kanya kahit ano. Pwede Pinoy, pwede Korean kasi depende sa culture niya eh. Kasi ngayon dun na siya naka-base ang hirap kapag Pinoy,” he said.
Does Alden have a chance with Sandara?
“Pwede. I-push natin,” he said with enthusiasm.
He also added that Alden and Sandara’s seven-year age gap does not seem a problem for the latter is very young looking.
