GMA Network premieres its newest primetime drama that will go against the long running action drama teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
On Monday, September 9, Kapuso teledrama Beautiful Justice premiered on primetime going head to head with highly successful Kapamilya action drama teleserye FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Before the airing of its pilot episode, one of its directors Mark Reyes hoped that the show will impart lessons to its viewers.
During the presscon at the La Reve last August 27 which was attended by Bea Binene, Gabbi Garcia, Yasmien Kurdi, Derrick Monasterio, Gil Cuerva, Bing Loyzaga, Valeen Montenegro, and Victor Neri, Reyes admitted the show faces tough challenge not only against its rival but also with the lesson that it aims to teach.
Mark Reyes said:
“This is a very challenging show for all of us not only because it’s a drama na it’s here to entertain you but also address the drug menace in the country and we are tied up with PDEA.
“So Director Derrick (Arnold Carreon) we hope we don’t disappoint you. We hope that this collaboration really shows the face of what the drug situation in the country. We hope we give your agency the proper honor and light. And everyone learns and not just get entertained to the drama but also learn from what is the drug situation doing to our country.”
Meanwhile, the other director Arnold Carreon described the show as a real depiction of what’s really happening in the lives of PDEA enforcers.
Carreon said:
“So far it’s a very close portrayal, so we really look forward to a very nice portrayal of the PDEA and the presentation of our flagship program particularly the three-pronged approach to the drug problem. As we mentioned earlier it’s a balance of supply reduction, demand reduction, and harm reduction.”
Beautiful Justice is GMA Network’s latest offering against Coco Martin’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. The story will evolve with its three main characters Alice (Yasmien), Kitkat (Bea), and Brie (Gabbi) whose loved ones are all PDEA agents who died on a failed mission. Eventually, Yasmien’s character will discover that their deaths were not an accident, and they were caused by a powerful drug syndicate who murdered them. Through the help of Vin (Gil), the three women will unite to track down the syndicate and seek justice for their lost.
Beautiful Justice will be the 15th Kapuso teledrama that will go against unbeatable FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. Will it end up the same fate as the others? Or will it give FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano a run for its money?
