GMA Network launches its newest and exciting line up of primetime shows this September.
Replacing Sahaya, Beautiful Justice is set to kick off GMA Network’s new primetime lineup. The newest drama-action series is headlined by Bea Binene, Gabbi Garcia, and Yasmien Kurdi.
The lives of Alice (Yasmien), Brie (Gabbi), and Kitkat (Bea) will change when their loved ones who are Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents get involved in a bloody operation, leading them to get close to each other as they track down the syndicate responsible for everything they lost.
On September 16, newly hailed Box Office King Alden Richards will play the role of a visually-impaired fruit vendor in Divisoria who discovers his ability to see the past and the future in the primetime series, The Gift.
Helmed by LA Madridejos, Alden will be with his newest love team partner, Beauty Queen Thia Thomalla. Together with Alden and Thia are Elizabeth Oropesa, Mikee Quintos, Jo Berry, Rochelle Pangilinan, Betong Sumaya, Martin del Rosario, Ysabel Ortega, Tetay, and Jean Garcia.
For the first time on the primetime block, RitKen (Rita Daniela and Ken Chan) are teaming up again for One of the Baes,’ a millennial fairytale that will take viewers on a voyage of love showcasing the ups and downs of our Filipino seafarers.
Rita will play the role of Jowalyn, a brave young woman who dreams of someday becoming the captain of a ship. Meanwhile, Ken plays the role of Grant who is a rich hopeless romantic who is also a kindhearted environmental vlogger.
Completing the Kapuso primetime slate is the top-rating Korean hit drama to be aired on September 2, Mr. Sunshine. The story centers on a young boy who is born into slavery but escapes to the United States and returns to Joseon later as a United States Marine Corps officer. To save his nation, he becomes an instrument in fighting for freedom, alongside the love of his life. The much-awaited drama stars Hollywood actor Lee Byung Hun as Eugene Choi who meets and falls in love with an aristocrat’s daughter named Go Ae-sin, played by Kim Tae-ri.
Aside from the primetime series, the award-winning romance anthology Wagas is back on September 2, airing before the longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga.
Wagas will once again touch the hearts of Kapuso viewers as it now features stories that will run for a month. For its pilot episode, Sunshine Dizon and Mike Tan reunite for “Throwback Pag-ibig.”
Lastly, GMA Network’s musical competition The Clash will once again open its doors to all music enthusiasts who want to become the country’s next singing sensation. Beginning September 21, every Saturday and Sunday, Kapuso viewers will witness the journey of the Top 64 contenders as they clash to fulfill their dreams with the newest Clash Masters – Asia’s Pop Diva Julie Anne San Jose and Total Heartthrob Rayver Cruz together with The Clash judges – Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha, Asia’s Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista, and Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas. Ken Chan and Rita Daniela are set to be The Clash Journey hosts.
