In 2017, Edward Barber asked Maymay Entrata to be his date to the Star Magic Ball during a live episode of Magandang Buhay where he also gave her a bracelet charm that his dad had to make a special pit stop in Dubai for. Last year, Edward asked Maymay by surprising her with a car filled with flowers, streamers, and balloons. This year, he got down on one knee to ask her out in a quiet park in Japan, as seen in Maymay’s latest vlog entry.

Since their stint ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ in 2016, Maymay and Edward, also known as the MayWard tandem, has been a big hit with fans. It’s their third year in showbiz and they’re also looking forward to their first concert together titled M.E. and U at the New Frontier Theater on September 27.
This year’s ABS-CBN Ball will have a Filipiñana theme, which coincides with the celebration of 65 years of the Kapamilya network. The 2019 ABS-CBN Ball is for the benefit of Bantay Bata 163’s Bantay Edukasyon Scholarship Program.
