At the media launch of GMA Network’s upcoming teleserye The Gift, lead star Alden Richards was asked about doing projects outside his love team.
“In a way po kasi, blessing in a way na binigyan ako ng chance na mag-grow personally,” Alden said. “Masarap po ‘yong feeling na makakagawa ka ng mga proyekto na magiging proud ka sa sarili mo.”
His performance in the phenomenal hit Hello, Love, Goodbye has been praised by many and his chemistry with first-time co-star Kathryn Bernardo also caught their attention.
“Binago po nito ‘yong buhay ko. Pero as much as it’s changing my life, I’m changing others as well through the inspiration they get through the projects I make, especially with the fans.”

Alden said that he loves his job even more because of the good feedback that he gets from his fans.
“Ang kinakatuwa ko kasi mahal ko ang trabaho ko. Mas minamahal ko siya kapag may nababasa akong comments na, mga lumalapit sa akin na, ‘Alden, ang ganda ng ginawa mong ganitong klaseng project and you changed my life.’

Alden started out being paired with his then love team partner Louise Delos Reyes in the series Alakdana in 2011. He was later paired up with Julie San Jose before he became one half of the phenomenal love team AlDub with Maine Mendoza in 2015.
Alden will star as a blind man in GMA Network’s upcoming series The Gift with co-stars Jo Berry, Jean Garcia, Thia Thomalla, Mikee Quintos, Ysabel Ortega, Rochelle Pangilinan, Martin del Rosario, Christian Vasquez, and Elizabeth Oropesa.
