Unfortunately, the Twitter trends didn’t translate to ratings. The official hashtag trended at number one during the episode and number 5 worldwide but it only got 15.7% versus its rival show The General’s Daughter with 32.2% last Monday (September 16) according to Kantar Media.
Meanwhile, NUTAM data is still unavailable for more than two weeks now.
The Gift tells the story of Joseph/Sep (Alden) who is able to foretell the future and look back into the past after he becomes blind. He will use this ability to help his community in times of need. But it will also be eyed by some people to fulfill their own selfish dreams.
Joining Alden in the cast are Jean Garcia, Jo Berry, Mikee Quintos, Thia Thomalla, Betong Sumaya, Christian Vasquez, Elizabeth Oropesa, Rochelle Pangilinan, Martin del Rosario, Mikoy Morales, and Ysabel Ortega.

Last September 12, Thursday, Alden was also recognized during the Sine Sandaan Awards held at the New Frontier Theater.
Asia’s Multi-media Star admitted that he was not expecting to be part of such a historical event. The actor said he felt very happy and honored for the recognition.
“I’m very happy and very honored to be part of that awards night. Kasi po beforehand talagang pinapanood ko lang ‘yung mga kasama ko roon and sobrang saya ko na mabigyan ng recognition with all of them. So for the hundred years of Philippine cinema, hindi ko in-expect na makakasama ako at magiging part ako in such a historical event in Philippine showbiz and movie industry,” Alden told 24 Oras‘s Iya Villania.
At the said awards night, Alden was honored as one of the luminaries in the Leading Man ng Sentenaryo Category. Actors Dingdong Dantes, Jericho Rosales, Piolo Pascual, and many more also joined Alden during the momentous event.
