GMA talent Alden Richards turned emotional as he expressed his sincere gratitude for being allowed to play the role of “Ethan” in the record-breaking blockbuster movie, Hello, Love, Goodbye.
Prior to his speech, director Cathy Garcia-Molina and Kathryn Bernardo expressed their gratitude for being able to work with one another. Both couldn’t help but express their admiration for the Kapuso actor for his commitment and for his humility as an artist.
For director Cathy, Alden is “the most mabait and humane person na nakasama namin sa set” and for that, she is beyond grateful.

Kathryn, on the other hand, revealed that she’s glad that it was Alden who became her partner in the movie. She also wished for many doors to open for Alden for “he is a good person, a wonderful person.”
When it was his turn, the actor uttered: “Ang dami ko pong gustong sabihin since day one, kung gaano po ako ka-grateful na sinugalan niyo po ako. Thank you, kasi hindi ko na-realize na I am that worthy.”
In his speech, the actor thanked Director Cathy, the director of Hello, Love, Goodbye for guiding him on his journey as he took on his role as “Ethan.”
He also thanked all the bosses of ABS-CBN and Star Cinema “for making this film possible for me.”
The actor also expressed his gratitude to his leading lady, Kathryn for trusting him to be her partner in the hit movie whom he believed also had a hard time just to fit into her role.
He concluded his speech with, “To everyone who’s here, this project made me realize that there’s beauty in collaboration and unity. We all live in one industry. We all have the same goals, and that’s to entertain and inspire people. And I’d like to believe that it’s the start of it. To more beautiful collaborations, kesyo magkalabang network pa po ‘yan.”
Now that Hello, Love, Goodbye is winding down, Alden is hoping to be able to visit ABS-CBN, the biggest rival of his home network GMA, again.
“Gusto ko ipagpasalamat sa ABS-CBN at Star Cinema na hindi nila ako tinrato na taga-iba, taga-kabilang network, taga-GMA. I’m so grateful na I was treated the same way that all of the actors here at ABS-CBN are treated,” he mused.

Alden is a homegrown talent of GMA Network. He appeared in different shows of GMA and was partnered with various leading ladies like Louise Delos Reyes, Marian Rivera, Andrea Torres, Maine Mendoza, and Janine Gutierrez.
Aside from his latest movie, he also appeared and top-billed in some movies such as My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore, Meant To Beh, and Imagine You And Me.
Unlike his leading lady Kathryn, this is the first time that Alden broke records at the box office.
Breaching P800 million mark, Hello, Love, Goodbye is truly a successful project not just for Alden, but also to his co-stars and the production staff. Hello, Love, Goodbye is now the highest-grossing Philippine film of all time surpassing the 2018 hit movie, The Hows Of Us.
