- For lovers who disagree but still choose to compromise
Former band vocalist Acel is back, introducing another heartwarming track entitled “Pitik Bulag,” which is guaranteed to make listeners’ hearts swoon with comfort and joy.
Acel, who serenades with her calming and melodic voice, has been performing since the late 90’s. In 2007, she sang “One Love,” the theme song of the popular Korean Drama “Spring Waltz” which aired on ABS-CBN. The following year, she released her first solo album “Silver Lining.”
The Kapamilya singer also gave Rico Blanco’s timeless hit “Your Universe” a new spin this year, which then went on to be used as the theme song of the Black Sheep film “Between Maybes.” Just last July, she also performed at the “One Paradise Puno ng Musika” event held at the La Mesa Ecopark.
Her newest song “Pitik Bulag” under DNA Music bears a catchy, fun tune that showcases the versatility of her voice. It is based on the traditional Filipino game of the same name where one player closes his eyes then guesses the number of fingers that the other player is flashing.
The song however, showcases how love triumphs despite the many differences faced by couples in romantic relationships. It’s a refreshing and uplifting take on the process of acknowledging the individualities of romantic pairs—that ultimately shouldn’t get in the way of their love for one another.
Acel is one of the still-growing number of artists under DNA Music, a record label of ABS-CBN Music that targets to nurture the musical gift of rock and alternative artists and support the local bands industry.
