Sanya Lopez is thankful and happy for the high ratings earned by her afternoon crime series Dahil sa Pag-ibig. The show defeated its rival Los Bastardos for five days in a row. It premiered last May 20 and is now faring well in ratings.
It tells the story of Eldon, an overseas Filipino worker in Saudi Arabia who committed a crime that lands him in jail. His wife Mariel, who is in the Philippines, is desperate to earn blood money for his bail. Portia, the wife of Eldon’s employer, is bent on putting Eldon in jail. While Mariel’s former lover Gary, offers an indecent proposal to Mariel.
The show also stars Benjamin Alves, Winwyn Marquez, and Pancho Magno.
“Sa ngayon ongoing pa rin kasi yung Dahil sa Pag-ibig and maganda yung result and yung feedback ng mga tao, yung mga nangyayari sa amin so ang taas ng ratings.Talagang lumalaban so dun pa lang I’m thankful na,” Sanya said in a recent interview.
Apart from her series, the actress will also star in an upcoming film intended for the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival titled as Isa Pang Bahaghari. Also in the cast are Nora Aunor, Phillip Salvador, Michael de Mesa, and other Kapamilya stars.

According to NUTAM People’s Ratings, here are the comparative ratings of Dahil sa Pag-ibig and Los Bastardos for August 5 to August 9:
On Monday, August 5, Dahil sa Pag-ibig got a high score of 6.9% while Los Bastardos got a lower score of 5.5%.
On Tuesday, August 6, Dahil sa Pag-ibig won again with 6.3% leaving behind Los Bastardos which got 5.6%.
On Wednesday, August 7, Dahil sa Pag-ibig went down to 6.0% but was not defeated by Los Bastardos which was stuck at 5.6%.
On Thursday, August 8, Dahil sa Pag-ibig climbed higher to 6.4% and Los Bastardos only got 5.7% .
On Friday, August 9, Dahil sa Pag-ibig which had 6.3% registered five consecutive wins against Los Bastardos which is still lagging in the 5.6% rating.
