Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso, the popular mayor of Manila City, was recently asked about his weight loss which some believed may be due to his demanding job and the stress it brings.
But in a DZMM interview, Isko clarified that he had already lost the weight even before being elected as mayor.
“A year before the campaign period, talagang I prepared myself. Physically, because I know it’s going to be a tedious campaign,” he said.
He revealed that he lost around 40 pounds through a diet called “slow juicing.”
“From 192 (pounds), through slow juicing, na-reach ko ‘yung 155. Then pinump ko ng kaunti to 165, so minentain ko na ‘yung 165,” he shared.
“‘Yung una talaga, by design. Takwarents ‘yun,” he added.
Isko is the 27th mayor and a former Vice Mayor of the City of Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. He won the mayoralty of Manila last May 13.
Upon taking his seat as a mayor, he already captured the hearts and the trust of the citizens of Manila by making a lot of changes. He is also making headlines on the internet for his early achievements.

For only almost a month,he already made several projects and plans for the betterment of the city.He first promised about his cleaning operation in the whole city and his greatest accomplishment so far was the declogging of the chaotic streets of Recto, Divisoria, Soler, and Carriedo.
Isko also expressed his support for President Rodrigo Duterte’s order to reclaim public roads being used for private purposes nationwide.
He is now planning to expand Arroceros Park,Manila’s last forested area, and transform the place into a green city.
