During his guesting with actress Anne Curtis on Gandang Gabi Vice last Sunday, August 18, Los Bastardos star Marco Gumabao was asked if he had ever cheated before, in light of his film, Just A Stranger.
Marco did not deny that he was a Jekjek (his character in the movie)—a cheater in his past relationship—and he did not hesitate to address his former partner to apologize for what he has done.
‘Jekjek’ is the nickname of Marco’s character in the movie who committed infidelity by having an affair with Mae—played by Anne—a woman twice his age that he met in Portugal,
“Aaminin ko, yes, nakapag-cheat na ako sa ex ko. I’m not proud of it, pero aminado naman ako na nagkamali ako before,” the actor admitted.
“Doon sa ex ko, I’m very, very sorry,” he added.

Vice Ganda, the host of the late-night show, asked Marco if there is ever a valid reason to cheat on a partner in which he answered with, “Mali talaga.”
“Pero may circumstances na, for example, this person, hindi na niya nakukuha ‘yung love na gusto niya or ‘yung affection from the other person, pero wala silang magawa dahil kasal sila,” he added bringing up the story of Just A Stranger.
Meanwhile, Marco and Anne’s steamy film Just A Stranger raked in PhP 12.5 million in ticket sales on its opening day, Php 30 million after 3 days.
