The comeback TV series of Maja Salvador, ABS-CBN’s The Killer Bride, dominated social media on Monday (August 12). The show was a hit on Twitter as its official hashtag #TheKillerBrideFirstDance topped the list of trending topics.
Ratings from NUTAM (GMA Network’s provider) and Kantar Media (ABS-CBN’s provider) also showed The Killer Bride killing its counterpart on GMA Network.
It was a landslide victory according to Kantar Media as the newest Kapamilya series hit 23.1% for its pilot episode while its rival show Love You Two only got 10.1%. 13.0% is a very wide gap especially for primetime.
The NUTAM data is not that far from Kantar Media’s result. The Jennylyn Mercado-Gabby Concepcion starrer was down to 6.0% while The Killer Bride recorded 10.9% on its first night of airing. The Killer Bride had an advantage of 4.9% against its competition.
In a poll on LionhearTV’s Facebook page, The Killer Bride won with more than 1.8k votes while Love You Two only received 265 votes.
The story of The Killer Bride is just starting. From being perfect, Camila’s (Maja Salvador) world turned upside down as she was found guilty for killing the brother of her fiancé Vito (Geoff Eigenmann), ultimately dying as the jail she was in was destroyed by fire, separating her from her child.
But a new chapter in the lives of people in Las Espadas will open with the arrival of Emma (Janella Salvador), the woman who will remind everyone about the killer bride’s sworn vengeance.
