- Kris saddened by comeback movie (K)ampon being taken out of MMFF
- Kris gives the real reason she left ABS-CBN
On August 16, Kris Aquino, lead star and producer of the film (K)ampon, shared her disappointment on Instagram about the removal of the horror movie from the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) lineup after their request for a change in lead actor was denied.
“Tulala ngayon kasi bukod sa hindi tuloy ang isang project na ginusto ko talaga, may ilang milyon din na sagutin kami sa MMFF bond, prod staff, crew, and artists,” she said.
The MMFF executive committee denied the change of lead actor from Derek Ramsay to Gabby Concepcion since the letter of request was sent five days late.
The Queen of All Media is now hopeful for a TV comeback. While she is excited to be back again on TV where she reigned for several years, returning won’t be easy it seems.
This Tuesday, August 20, in an Instagram comment, Kris asked Lolit Solis if the latter could negotiate for her an afternoon series on GMA-7.
“Maybe kagaya ng pag negotiate mo for me ng Star Talk before, you can negotiate with GMA Network a teleserye, same slot ng ika-6 na utos na super sinabaybayan namin?” she commented.

Kris was also one of the original hosts of the entertainment shows The Buzz and Showbiz News Ngayon, both with Boy Abunda, which helped earn her the title of Queen of All Media.
She was also dubbed the Queen of Game Shows as she hosted The Price Is Right, Pilipinas Game KNB, Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal, and Wheel of Fortune.
Kris was also one of the hosts of the noontime variety show Pilipinas Win Na Win with Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla, and was one of the original judges on Pilipinas Got Talent.
