At the recent storycon for the upcoming afternoon prime drama series Magkaagaw, StarStruck 6 Ultimate Female Survivor Klea Pineda told GMANetwork.com that she is excited about her new character which will allow her to step up as an actress.
“Na-excite akong mag-explore at mag enjoy habang gumagawa ng dramatic scenes. Excited akong gawin ‘yun kasi sobrang gusto ko ‘yung drama. Feeling ko it’s a sign for me na done na ko sa mga pabebe roles,” she said.
This is her first time to play a mature role.
“Thankful ako pero siyempre pressured, ‘di naman matatanggal ‘yan. Pero ‘yung pressure na ‘yun makakatulong sa akin to do more kasi alam ko rin na I can be more. And alam ko na marami pa akong kayang gawin, it’s just that hindi ko pa siya nadi-discover,” Klea explained.
She will be working again with her Ika-5 Utos co-star Jeric Gonzales as her love team partner in the upcoming drama series.
“Happy ako na komportable kami sa isa’t isa kasi alam na namin kung paano magtrabaho. Siguro ang kailangan na lang namin is mag-step up kasi kung ano ‘yung nagawa namin nung Ika-5 Utos mas may kailangan kaming gawin dito sa Magkaagaw.”
Meanwhile, Jeric Gonzales likewise felt excited and overwhelmed with his stepped-up role in the upcoming series. Jeric will play the role of a husband in the upcoming drama.
“Okay lang naman [sa akin] kasi I’m looking for more mature roles. Kasi after nga ng Ika-5 Utos gusto ko ng iba naman.
“Sabi ko nga kay Klea, ‘Kailangan na nating makilala ang isa’t isa kasi this is more than knowing each other or being boyfriend and girlfriend. ‘Yung mga secrets natin medyo kailangan na natin malaman kasi ‘yung relationship natin [dito] sa work parang dapat solid talaga,” he shared.

The young actor also changed his overall look for his character.
“My hair! Kasi palaging ganun ‘yung itsura ko na good boy at laging mabait. So, this time gusto ko maiba naman. Katulad nga ng sabi ni Direk Gil Tejada, mature na at ‘di na masyadong sweet, medyo ibang layer din ng personality. So hahanapin ko ‘yun,” he said.
Together with Jeric and Klea in the cast are Sheryl Cruz and Sunshine Dizon.
Other details of the upcoming drama series have not been disclosed other than it being set for the second half of 2019 in the GMA Network Afternoon Prime block.
