- Julia Barretto updated her Instagram on Sunday, July 28, with biblical verses taken from Deuteronomy and the Epistle to the Romans
Amid the accusations of being the third party who was responsible for the breakup of Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson, Julia Barretto has been staying positive and optimistic by posting candid photos of herself and biblical quotes on her Instagram account.
The 22-year-old actress has not yet spoken up about the issue. Instead, she just shares what’s keeping her busy and happy, and just recently, she shared biblical quotes, specifically about getting even.
On Sunday, July 28, the Kapamilya star shared bible verses taken from Epistle to the Romans and Book of Deuteronomy on her Instagram stories.
Quoting from Romans, Barretto wrote, “Don’t take revenge, dear friends. Instead, let God’s anger take care of it. After all, Scripture says, ‘I alone have the right to take revenge. I will pay back, says the Lord.'”
Quoting from Deuteronomy, she continued: “My friends, don’t try to get even. Leave room for God to show his anger. It is written, ‘I am the One who judges people. I will pay them back.'”
The Between Maybes has been a target of netizens for weeks after she was suspected as the reason behind the breakup of Anderson and Alonzo, causing the latter to post a cryptic message on her Instagram account. The allegations worsened when Alonzo started liking photos of Barretto and Anderson together, hinting that the speculations may be true.
Alonzo’s celebrity friends taking sides and unfollowed Barretto on Instagram. Angel Locsin, Angelica Panganiban, Bela Padilla, and Loisa Andalio unfollowed Baretto and she did the same.
Even Julia’s own aunts Gretchen and Claudine Barretto showed their support for Alonzo instead of their own niece.
Julia may have found a new friend in Pia Wurtzbach though. This, after the Miss Universe 2015 posted a generic message of support on Twitter. Right away, Barretto followed Wurtzbach on Instagram.
Just like Barretto, Wurtzbach was once linked to Anderson when they worked together for the film My Perfect You. The allegations died down eventually when Anderson clarified that they are just friends and nothing romantical is going on between them. Pia is also in a relationship with Marlon Stockinger.
But, Julia, being outspoken with a strong personality, doesn’t care for other people’s unsolicited and negative opinions. If her Instagram Stories and photos are ring true, then the actress doesn’t seem bothered at all.
