Juancho Triviño is still a certified Kapuso as he renewed his contract with GMA Network last Thursday, August 8, 2019.
Present during the contract-signing were GMA Executives including GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable, Vice President for Drama Productions Redgie A. Magno, Senior Assistant Vice President for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, Assistant Vice President for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, and Senior Program Managers Ali Nokom Dedicatoria and Cathy Ochoa Perez.
Juancho’s co-manager Maristel Sampedro was also present during the signing.
Rasonable praised the actor, especially the improvements he achieved in his craft. Furthermore, she said they would see to it that the network will continue to provide quality projects for Juancho to hone his skills even more.
She said, “We’re very glad that he feels that way kasi homegrown ‘yan eh, pag nakikita mo yung isa mong anak kumbaga na nag-go-grow sa business na pinagtuunan mo ng pansin para humusay sa kaniyang craft at makita mong nagagamit nya ito in a good way para umangat siya sa kaniyang chosen field, it makes you proud.”
Juancho has been with GMA Network for seven years now and he is thankful for the trust that they are giving him.
“I’m very thankful na binigyan pa rin ako ng tiwala. I’ve been with them since the very beginning of my career. There’s no place I’d rather be than GMA, it feels like home talaga. I couldn’t imagine being elsewhere,” he said.
On Instagram, the actor recalled how his career started as a GMA artist.

In the caption he wrote, [published as is:] “7 years ago I remember commuting to an audition for GMA. I took the tricycle, bus and MRT from Sta. Rosa to get there–I had nothing but my height, my makapal na kilay, and a growing hope for a career, even though I didn’t know how to act or host.”
He even called GMA Network his “home,” and despite the roller-coaster ride journey, the Bubble Gang star remains grateful for all the opportunities given to him.
“Since then, ang buhay ko sa GMA ay para talagang roller coaster ride: lessons learned the REALLY HARD way, heartbreaks, triumphs, and everything else in between, but I wouldn’t have it any other way,” he added.
Ending the caption, he wrote, “I’m very grateful for all the opportunities I’ve been given, and I’m so humbled to call GMA my home. Excited for what’s in store… salamat po mga Kapuso.”
Juancho’s rise to stardom was not an overnight journey. He started as a model and took a chance in hosting. He then ventured into doing supporting roles, and now, he’s the newest heartthrob of the network, top-billing GMA’s upcoming Afternoon Prime series Madrasta opposite Kapuso actresses Arra San Agustin and Thea Tolentino.
The Kapuso leading man shared, “I have a long way to go, Madrasta is just the start, marami pa akong kailangang patunayan. More importantly, I need to portray my character well.”
Juancho started his career as a Kapuso in 2012. He appeared in various GMA drama series including Villa Quintana (2013), The Half Sisters (2015), Magkaibang Mundo (2016), Destined To Be Yours (2017), Inday Will Always Love You (2018), and Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko (2019).
