- Joshua Garcia talked about lying and bullying at a blog conference
- The actor’s statements seemingly threw shade on the controversy involving Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson, and Julia Barretto
- Joshua is now paired with Janella Salvador for The Killer Bride series
Joshua Garcia was recently interviewed at a blog conference for his newest primetime series The Killer Bride along with his new love team partner Janella Salvador.
When asked about questions about the primetime series, the actor shared his thoughts about the issues of lying and bullying which seemed to throw shade on the current controversy involving Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson, and Julia Barretto.
Bea and Gerald’s three-year relationship has reportedly ended due to Gerald allegedly cheating with his Between Maybes co-star Julia, Joshua’s former flame. Their rumored romance made headlines on social media after their photo together went viral.
Considering the heavy scenes of the gothic romance drama, Joshua was then asked about his most challenging experience in making the series.
‘Yung focus namin kasi ang bigat ng ginawa naming eksena kahapon, yung focus namin grabe, talagang nag i-in character kami,” he added.
The actor then opened up about how he handles bullying in real life and he expressed his disapproval of bullies, as well as liars.
Kumbaga tao tayong lahat, nararamdaman natin parehas ‘yun.”

“Bullying” recently became a widely used term after Julia accused Bea of bullying by liking several social media posts pertaining to her alleged romance with Gerald Anderson. But the accusation backfired a s netizens claimed that it was the other way around.
Joshua also liked an Instagram post of Bea’s which talked about making mistakes twice which said: “You can’t make the same mistake twice, the second time you make it, it’s not a mistake anymore, it’s a choice. ENOUGH.” This was the same post that started all the speculations about trouble in Bea and Gerald’s relationship.
One time reel-to-real love team partners Joshua and Julia dubbed as JoshLia admitted that they have decided to become “best friends.” It was speculated that third party issues caused their split but the two denied that it was true. Similarly, Gerald also revealed in his recent statements that his breakup with Bea did not involve third party issues.
After the JoshLia breakup, many expressed their sympathy for Joshua as he was noticeably seen “lonely” until he was paired with his new love team partner, Janella.
After three failed tries, Joshua and Janella are finally working together and they described it as a “perfect timing”.
“Actually lagi namin ‘tong sinasabi pero ilang beses na dapat kami nagka-work in the past pero laging di natutuloy so finally nung sinabi nila na si Joshua yung pinapair nila, sana si Joshua talaga kasi maybe this is the right project na magkatrabaho na kami and siyempre ang galing ni Joshua so nadadala rin ako,” Janella shared.
Echoing the words of Janella, Joshua said that he was happy that they are finally working together.
And yung passion niya sa work niya nakikita ko and dahil dun ako mismo siyempre nahihiya ako sa kanya.
“Siyempre may different love teams kami tapos hindi pa siguro yun yung time kasi nafifeel namin na every time magkakaroon kami ng project laging di natutuloy. So yun I think this is the right time for us and I’m happy,” Joshua said.
He also said that working with different actors can help him grow his capabilities.
For me okay siya sa akin kasi nakakatulong siya sa growth ko as an actor and as a person, new people na makakasama,” he explained.
