Noontime variety shows It’s Showtime and Eat Bulaga! are still neck and neck in the ratings board as they vie for noontime supremacy.
In the latest numbers from AGB Nielsen and Kantar Media, the Kapamilya noontime show and TAPE Inc’s long-running noontime variety program are fighting hard for ratings leadership.
For the week of August 5 to 9, It’s Showtime and Eat Bulaga! are in a tight race.
For the week, the two noontime shows featured grand finales of their respective segments, Bida Man and Bebot.
It’s Showtime started their Grand Finale week for Bida Man on August 5 which concluded on August 10 with the crowning of Jin Macapagal.
Eat Bulaga! on the other hand showcased the Bebot 2019’s road to the finals which also concluded on August 10 with Buboy Villar taking the title of Bebot 2019.
The two grand finales seemed very matched as viewers were equally divided on several days of the week.
It’s Showtime and Eat Bulaga! tied the ratings board twice on August 5 (6.4%) and August 6 (6.3%).
Eat Bulaga! edged out It’s Showtime on Wednesday, August 7, 6.4% vs 6.2% and registered the highest margin for the week on Thursday at 6.5% against 6.0%.
On Friday, It’s Showtime managed to close the gap at 0.1%, 6.6% vs 6.7%.
