Gretchen Barretto showed her support for Bea Alonzo by posting on her Instagram and sending a pot of orchids along with a note in the midst of the issue involving Bea, Gerald Anderson, and Gretchen’s own niece Julia Barretto. Bea and Gretchen first worked together on the ABS-CBN series Magkaribal in 2010.
Strangely enough, two other Gretchens in showbiz—Gretchen Fullido and Gretchen Ho—were mistaken for Barretto that led to them inadvertently getting caught up in the Bea-Gerald-Julia controversy.
On Twitter, the two disclosed that they received support and hate tweets from netizens who, apparently, thought they and Gretchen Barretto were one and the same.
