The battle of ratings between ABS-CBN and GMA has always been an interesting challenge of supremacy.
Nielsen TV Audience Measurement latest ratings data for July 21 to 31 shows that GMA Network programs reign in Urban Luzon and Mega Manila.
Kapuso network recorded an average of 34% total day viewers share, beating Kapamilya’s 31.4%, in Urban Luzon.
The network continues to dominate in the afternoon block at 3% ahead than rival network earning 36.3% against 33.3%.
GMA Telebabad programs similarly won with 35% compared to ABS-CBN’s 31.7%.
Among the network’s programs, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho got the highest spot in Urban area, followed by Magpakailanman, 24 Oras, Sahaya, StarStruck, Daddy’s Gurl, Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko, and The Better Woman.
Likewise, in Mega Manila GMA Network still outscored ABS-CBN with 35. 4% average daily viewers share vs 28.9%. 20 out of the top 30 shows were from GMA.
While ABS-CBN claimed dominance in the nationwide ratings provided by Kantar Media, GMA Network boasted of their number one status using their ratings provider AGB Nielsen consistently from the first half of 2019 up to the month of July.
