GMA Network proudly introduced promising young actress and new leading lady Arra San Agustin as the Newest Gem of Drama.
Arra Krisette San Agustin is a 24-year-old Filipina Actress. Coming out as one of the Top 6 in the 6th season of StarStruck, she landed minor roles and started her acting career.
She has appeared on shows like Maynila, Magpakailanman, Karelasyon, Dear Uge, and Usapang Real Love Presents: Perfect Fit. She is currently part of the cast of GMA’s longest running gag show, Bubble Gang.
In 2017, she appeared in Meant To Be as Mia Smith and was given the role of Ariana in Encantadia. She played opposite of Ken Chan in The Cure as Anna Lazaro and in My Special Tatay as Carol Flores.
She currently hosts Taste MNL, a GMA online show where they feature popular restaurants around the metro.
Now starring in her first leading role in GMA’s upcoming series, Madrasta, GMA named her as the newest gem of drama. It’s really a big challenge for the actress since the network has high hopes for her even though she’s just starting out.
San Agustin revealed her thoughts on all the buzz. “It’s my first time portraying a lead role. Siyempre, marami talagang expectations ‘yung mga tao at marami silang masasabi kasi [bago akong] mukha sa TV, pero, I’m doing it naman for the craft.”
Sharing top-billing with her are Juancho Triviño who is also a first-timer in a lead role, and Thea Tolentino.
