- Gabbi Garcia talked about the importance of women empowerment
- She stressed that we need more female lead roles on television
- She will lead the newest Kapuso series Beautiful Justice
Global endorser and Millennial “It” Girl Gabbi Garcia is set to lead the newest Kapuso primetime series Beautiful Justice along with Kapuso actresses Yasmien Kurdi and Bea Binene. Gabbi will be paired with two of the hottest leading men in showbiz, Derrick Monasterio and Gil Cuerva.
In her exclusive chat with GMANetwork.com after her pictorial for the said series last August 16, she shared her experience working with her fellow cast members on the action-drama series.
“Really good. It’s something new, which makes it more exciting. Also, it’s actually our first time to work together, so it’s a different mix, a different flavor for the audiences.
“It’s a variety of action and drama so it’s really complete, that’s why it’s more exciting.
She also stressed that there should be more female lead roles on telelevision to better promote women empowerment.
“It’s a good thing, especially with our current situation. You know, we need more female role models in our time. And we need more empowerment when it comes to women. It also sends a nice message, a good message for all the young people kasi, nowadays, a lot of us are into women empowerment, especially on social media. So ang ganda because we can also share thoughts when it comes to teleserye,” Gabbi said.
Gabbi will play the role of a badass hacker in the series. The primetime series is slated to premiere this September under the direction of Mark A. Reyes V.
Joining Gabbi in the cast are Valeen Montenegro, Victor Neri, and Bing Loyzaga.
Beautiful Justice serves as the replacement project of Gabbi after her teleserye, Rosang Agimat, was shelved by management due to the tragic on-set accident of Eddie Garcia.
Gabbi’s first role was as Nicole Perez in the GMA Network’s primetime series My Destiny (2014). Then, she portrayed Pia Sta. Maria in Let The Love Begin (2015). She became known as Sang’gre Alena in the reboot of Encantadia (2016).
