The ABS-CBN Ball is one of the most-awaited events not just by celebrities, but also by fans who are excited to see what their idols will be wearing and who they will be going with.
Here are some pairings we’d like to see at the ball this year:
Arjo Atayde and Maine Mendoza
It was in 2018 when the two celebrities admitted that they were dating. Aside from these artists, another obvious change in the setting of the ball is its theme. Compared to last year’s usual black and white-themed attire, the 2019 ABS-CBN Ball will have a Filipiniana dress code.
The ball will happen on September 14, 2019, at Shangri-La The Fort with the aim to help provide for less fortunate children to reach their dreams through the Bantay Bata 163 Bantay Edukasyon Program.
The ball will also honor Regina Paz “Gina” Lopez, the chairperson of ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. (AFI), and the founder of Bantay Bata 163. Her children’s welfare advocate program has saved thousands of physically and sexually abused children and provided them a shelter that they need, away from harm at the Children’s Village in Norzagaray, Bulacan.
Aside from this, she was also a former Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary.
She died last August 19, 2019 at the age of 65 due to brain cancer.
