Did the Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera just confirm that she’ll co-star with Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes in the remake of Descendants of the Sun?
Recently, the Kapuso actress posted on her Instagram account a photo of herself and her husband Dingdong. In the caption, she wrote: “Ang aking Big Boss sa totoong buhay! #TribuNiYan #DongYan”

Dantes is set to star in the upcoming Philippine Adaptation of the hit Korean drama of 2016, Descendants of the Sun. The cast of the said remake has already revealed, except for the actress who will play as Dantes’ leading lady.
Marian is one of the fan favorites, along with Carla Abellana, Heart Evangelista, and Jennylyn Mercado to portray the character of Doctor Kang, the woman who will capture the interest and heart of the ‘Big Boss’ who will be played by her husband.
It was earlier rumored that Jennylyn was selected to play the role, but her absence at the media preview of DOTS made people think that she was removed from the cast. Moreso, Dingdong had also clarified that his reunion with wife Marian onscreen is unlikely to happen especially now that she’s a mother of two kids with his youngest child only three-months old.
Even so, DongYan’s supporters would be very happy and excited if Marian would be tapped to play the role.
The Kapuso Primetime King celebrated his 39th birthday last August 2. As a gift, the Kapuso actor received a touching painting from his wife. Artist Mark Rocha Padernal, whom Marian commissioned, painted a very hearty image of Dingdong cradling their youngest child, baby Jose Sixto, or Ziggy.
The actor shared with his fans the “meaningful art piece” on Instagram.
In the caption, he wrote, “Days before #AgostoDos, my wife commissioned our Kumpare, @markrochapadernal, to create this very meaningful art piece.
“Maraming salamat sa regalo, mahal,” he ended.

The gift was handed to him by Marian during baby Ziggy’s baptism, which was held at Saint Alphonsus Mary de Liguori Parish in Magallanes, Makati last Sunday, August 4.
