Alden Richards, a GMA Network artist, is co-starring for the first time with ABS-CBN’s Kathryn Bernardo in Hello, Love, Goodbye directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina. Although his AlDub movie Imagine You and Me made it big in the Box Office in 2016, it took three years before Alden would star in a movie again.
Alden has been a longtime fan of Direk Cathy, especially of her characters Popoy and Basha in the movie One More Chance brought to life by Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. Alden considers Hello, Love, Goodbye a big blessing and a milestone to his career.
During the movie’s blog conference a day after its premiere, Cathy-Garcia-Molina said that she saw her favorite actor John Lloyd Cruz in Alden in this movie.

The Box Office director, best known for romantic-comedy films, has worked with John Lloyd on some of the most popular films in the latter’s career including One More Chance and A Second Chance with Bea Alonzo.
To me, acting is no acting at ayun ang gusto ko sa kanya,” she shared.
When asked to react, Alden said, “Idol ko ‘yun eh!
Alden is also a fan of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. In fact, when asked about his choice of a Kapamilya leading lady to work with after Kathryn, his answer is Bea Alonzo.
In 2016, Alden shared a photo of his fanboying with the two. “When the “fan-boy” in you gets you hard! Iba talaga,” he said in a Facebook post.
Set in Hong Kong, Hello, Love, Goodbye follows the love story of Joy, a domestic helper, and Ethan, a bartender, as they both grapple with the challenges faced by Filipino workers based abroad. The movie raked in Php 34 million nationwide on its opening day, clinching the record for the highest first-day gross of a local film in 2019.
